Shape
Elongated or widebody
Shape decides reach against forgiveness before core thickness enters the picture. Both families sit inside the same 24-inch combined limit, so length is bought with width.

Shape codes describe a band rather than one outline, because models in the same family come off different molds depending on core and face material. Where forgiveness matters most, compare the hitting-face dimensions on each model page.
How each one is made
From fiber to packed carton
Every PantherSpin model runs the same eight stations. What changes between the three build routes is the press step, and that is where feel, sound and cost are decided.

Thermoforming bonds face, core and edge into one sealed body under heat and pressure. It adds power and enlarges the sweet spot, but the same heat softens a polypropylene honeycomb, and a paddle pressed without controlled pressure release can develop crushed cells that surface months later as dead spots, or as a paddle that plays unexpectedly hot.
That is why the durability rig matters more than a specification sheet. Paddles run to 15,000 impacts, then get examined for cracking, delamination, core stability and edge guard adhesion. A 10 kN universal testing machine measures compression, bending and tensile behavior including permanent deformation, so the core is characterized rather than assumed.
